The National Science Day Celebration 2026 was organized with great enthusiasm at Dr. D. Y. Patil Technical Campus (DYPTC), Varale–Talegaon, Pune for First Year Engineering students by the Department of Engineering Sciences. The event aimed to nurture scientific temperament, creativity, innovation, and technical skills among students.

National Science Day holds special significance as it commemorates the historic discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman, which marked a major milestone in scientific research. The celebration inspired students to develop a scientific outlook, research aptitude, and strong problem-solving abilities, encouraging them to contribute to innovation and nation-building.

The event witnessed active participation from around 250 students, who enthusiastically engaged in various academic and creative activities. These competitions provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas, technical knowledge, and communication skills.

The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. S. D. Shirbahadurkar in the presence of Dr. Yogesh Gurav (Dean), Prof. Abhijeet Shinde (HOD), and other Heads of Departments.

During the event, the Principal appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and encouraged them to explore science and technology with curiosity and dedication.

The celebration was also graced by Honorable CEO Adv. Anuja Patil, who motivated students through her inspiring words. She appreciated their creativity and innovation and highlighted the importance of scientific thinking, teamwork, and ethical values in shaping responsible engineers and future leaders.
